"The fictitious story of a great SORCERER during the reign of my great-great grand father, King ANG DUONG, and whose "magic science" [magic and sorcery] permitted him and his disciple, one of the children of ANG DUONG, to remain alive until 1995 allows me to illustrate the words of the "wisemen" of our land, according to which the sorcerer's apprentices or even the real sorcerers end up badly; it does not serve any purpose to fight against Fate; an unbounded ambition does not hoist you up to the helm but rather takes you down to a tragic end; love is often more strong than political calculation."
